Functionality:



As an example: a compact, turbocharged natural gas engine for maximum efficiency and power output (e.g. 2G Energy 406 Erdgas, 248 kWmech) directly drives a screw compressor (e.g. Aerzener VMX). This then generates 40 m³/min of compressed air at 8 bar(g).


This would so far require an electric compressor with approx. 246kW of electrical power consumption, but instead we only natural gas or other corresponding gases, at much lower costs.


In addition to the compressed air, this machine generates useful waste heat from engine cooling, exhaust gas cooling, compressed air cooling, which additionally reduces your conventional gas heated boiler costs a lot.


By the way: the natural gas engine can already be "H2-ready" if desired!

Where does a DDC fit best?

1. Production from two shifts per day
